xD Nice.

Songs like this make me laugh in a good way. Reminds me of Noisia's track Shitbox.

Downtempo stuff always provides a source of fun.

Ty for the listen xD

Amazon.com has good deals for it.

...if you're going to buy it...

No, not advertising. Just saying I found it on amazon.

Good for a trial song.

Synth and drums...

Make Drum and Bass. Perhaps you could look up Spor on YouTube?

The song kind of reminds me of him for some odd reason, and adding some sort of dark-ish drum set would be fun to listen to.

Nice job with the trance-like style, though. Also reminds me of Hopeku, although I'd like some sort of fun variation in it.

Good Job overall.

I'll critcise.

That's what I'm good at.

And since this is only an early version...

Make a ton of dirty synth. This need it, because it does bore (ehem, after a couple of loops, not the first run thorough. Good job with that.) after some time. Just backround Exsision style dubstep bass. Then maybe filter out the sound starting from highest down to lowest and... start the song?

Keep the industrial, but make sure to have the horror industrial used in Injection. That was epic.

Keep the loops veried slightly. Make sure the synth comes out of tune slightly from time to time to make it somewhat creepy. Do the same somehow with the guitar or something without making similar.

Good luck with it!

If you don't get very much of what I suggested into the song, it's fine. Your songs are always epic. xD

XD Thanks for the great suggestions. We'll definitely do our best to please everyone with this song. As of now, I haven't run through much of the effects or transitions and sounds we'll be using in the finished project. I literally was just so excited to get my composing software back up and running that I've mostly just been fiddling around and taking nothing I made seriously.

When I clumped this together, I realized it had potential and ran it by Tino. After getting his reaction, we decided to finish it. All this literally happened a couple days ago. I just wanted to post it up to show that Cognition Vault is still very much alive, despite our absence. And this is just a short test, showing the general tone for our new project.

We're actually working on a couple songs right now, but our aim is to release this one first, followed by a little special something thats a bit more experimental and... different.

Don't use preset drums.

They suck imo.

Also, give variation to the piano. Make it fast paced, as well as the drums, which should get a ton of variation to them within... reasonable standards. That's al I have for the 22 seconds.

Make it DnB. :D

I need better bass.

Lower, less tinny sounding bass really works much better, and, it seems some od the track is just kind of empty, but epic minus that. I heard the song before I knew of the contest, but I'm happy nao that I know the name. :D

Good job for experimenting.

But make the drums sound cleaner and be quite a bit faster, so as to have a feeling of liquid dnb, and take out the synth at 1:09 and replace it with a very smooth, liquid-ish sound. Meh. Good job, though.

Look up the ice dance from Bachelors of Science and also Let Go of the Release by Amplicon to get what I'm talking about. Definitely looking at your other tracks. :D

Very fun song. :P

Ever heard of Line Rider? It's a flash game. xD Your name reminds me of it.

Love the song either way.

Improve, Improve, Improve.

I'm doing a full review for this, so I apologize if I sound a bit harsh.

It's good and all , but you do meed to make sure the style you're doing is your own. It sounds like what you're going for is Waterflame and I think you should be trying to listen to a few different artists and see what combination you can come up with, because this is almost too similar to the artist mentioned above.

Work on mastering. Mastering is a very good ability to work on, because it allows for clearer sounding songs. I suggest buying a few different pairs of headphones to test each song out with so you can know what sounds good and clear on each one.

If you don't have a keyboard, I suggest you find a small, portable one that will plug into the computer you have. It helps when making songs.

Get out of straight on midi sounds and modify them so it doesn't have as much twang or sound as unnatural. The claps get on my nerves a bit, so try adding them to the beginning of the tracks and very them. I suggest listening to Camo and Krooked's Mindset soundtrack to understand what I'm talking about. They are trying to do a few things less predictable to add more variation into their track.

What I mean is that I can tell when you are about to add your next part into the song, and by extending everything a bit more and adding different tempos to the song, you may find that it is a bit more enjoyable to listen to.

There are a lot of sounds used in a ton of different NG submissions, so I have a feeling you are using preset sounds and maybe adding a bit of reverb here and there. If you don't know what things like LFO or or wet/dry is, I suggest you look them up, because it does help to know these terms to be able to know for sure what they do so you are able to synthesize sounds to your heart's content.

As mentioned by Se7eN, make sure you build up suspense or something that will make people keep listening. This skill is highly needed for music artists everywhere, so I suggest you get used to it.

Overall, this without a doubt needs work. A ton of it. However, you have a load of potential in making music so improve your instruments, improve your gear, improve your style, and improve what you know. Just keep on practicing with music making by spending a small bit of your time each day finding ways to better your music in some way. 3/5. 5/10.

You're halfway there!

The Gangster Raps I'm not fond of

Your older style is better, in my opinion. I also like the instrumentals. Not as much this one.
